If you have never played bingo before you will need to choose between playing the game in a high street bingo hall or at home on your computer. There are some advantages and disadvantages to using your local bingo hall instead of online bingo games.
The main advantage is the sense of occasion. Well known chains such as Gala have launched a number of different advertising campaigns promoting a visit to the bingo as a special night out with friends.
Most halls also have facilities which make a night out at the bingo more enjoyable, such as licensed bars and restaurants, and most are child friendly. The larger bingo halls often allow players to hire out special areas for events such as birthdays or hen dos.
A visit to the bingo hall is the best option of you would rather face-to-face interaction and is an attractive alternative to a visit to the pub, for example.
However, despite attempts to change its image a visit to the bingo is still perceived by many as the pastime of the over 60’s, which puts a lot of young people off.
If you are a serious bingo player you may not welcome the distraction of less serious players intent on chatting and socializing throughout the game.
In addition, you may not have as much control over tipping the odds in your favour, since bingo games with larger prizes will attract more players. Short of visiting another bingo hall with a smaller number of players, there is little else you can do.
