These days it is a norm for big poker companies to have established players as a part of their team. The players, with their experience and popularity, become brand ambassadors for these companies. One such example follows:
BoylePoker has signed on Padraig Parkinson, a poker star of Irish origin. He came 3rd in the WSOP Main Event and won the 5th session of “Late Night Poker” by defeating Korosh Nejad. He reached the final table in 2006 WSOP of a £750 buy-in contest. He took home £101,000 by finishing 3rd in that contest.
He first started playing poker when he was studying in the 1970s in Trinity College. He continued playing for the next 4 years. He says that it was there that he acquired all of his most effective skills. In the 1990s he found himself jobless and that is when he took up gambling professionally. He soon became a part of various clubs such as the Eccentric’s Club, Griffen, and the Jackpot in quick succession.
He says that the enthusiasm of the BoylePoker management has enticed him to become a part of their team. He has been involved in talks with Connor and Paul of BoylePoker, yielding positive results. He says that BoylePoker is involved in innovating new ways to invigorate the gambling scenario. Parkinson says that his most memorable achievement in the poker world has been his coming 3rd in the WSOP finals, apart from being solvent for 15yrs. He is involved with charitable concerns, such as the Poker for Homeless project.
Players who want to join BoylePoker are advised by Parkinson to spend time in perfecting their skill. According to him, a game of hurry yields no real returns.
