Bingo is a simple and popular game of chance. The game is played with a Bingo card, which is divided into 25 squares, with the centre square being the “free” square.
Bingo is a game of pure chance. Thus, there is no strategy involved at all. Mental alertness and speed are important, as fatigue may kick in after long rounds of Bingo.
Prior to the start to the game, players buy their Bingo cards. The game commences when a caller starts to draw Bingo balls from blowers, which have a random number assigned to them. Players then use a chip or special marker on their card, to cross out the numbers that have been called out. The point of the game is for players to look out for patterns on their Bingo cards. These patterns are usually straight lines – either diagonal lines across, or straight lines across.
Another common pattern to look out for in a Bingo game is the coverall pattern, meaning all four corners of the Bingo card being covered.
Once a player spots such a number pattern, they shout “Bingo!” The player then wins.
